
Manuel Belgrano was born on June 3, 1770, in Buenos Aires. His parents were Domingo Belgrano Pérez and Josefa González. From 1776 to 1793, he studied in San Carlos school, Spain. One year later, he went to Salamanca university, where he graduated as a lawyer. In 1794, he came back to Buenos Aires. In 1810, he was a vocal during the Revolution. Later, he worked for a newspaper. A year later, he was named "general al mando del ejército libertador del Paraguay". Seven years later, he created the flag. On June 20, 1820, he died.
